Join Philip Reeve for a nice chat about his most recent fantastic series, Utterly Dark, the idea for which sprang to his mind when he first visited Islay in 2019 with his friend Sarah McIntyre! Suitable for 8 to 12-year-olds.

Both children’s events are free entry with no booking necessary. Parents/carers must be in attendance.


About the speaker

Philip Reeve was born and raised in Brighton and is an author and illustrator of children’s books, primarily known for his Mortal Engines quartet. His 2007 novel, Here Lies Arthur, based on the legendary King Arthur, won the Carnegie Medal. In recent years, he has collaborated with illustrator Sarah McIntyre on multiple award-winning books, including a series about Kevin the Roly-Poly Flying Pony and their brand new series Adventuremice.
