Getting to Islay.

There are two ways to travel to Islay, ferry or plane. Take a look at the links below to help you plan your journey. You can download our PDF travel guide for further help.

Flights: A daily air service from Glasgow is available, flights generally take from 20 minutes to half an hour. More information on www.loganair.co.uk

Ferries: CalMac run car ferries on a daily basis, take a look at their website for more; www.calmac.co.uk

Kennacraig ferry terminal is a 100 mile drive from Glasgow via Loch Lomond, Inveraray and Lochgilphead. You need to allow a minimum of 3 hours driving time for this. Alternatively, Scottish Citylink operate a regular coach service from Glasgow.
